Housing in Seattle
Undergraduate students participating in a residency program in Seattle will reside at Cornish Commons, a newly built state-of-the-art student residence hall just 2 blocks from Northeastern’s Seattle campus. Cornish Commons is 1 block from Whole Foods, and in the center of the South Lake Union neighborhood surrounded by various local cafes, restaurants, shops, drug stores and museums.
Students will live with one NU roommate and will receive their roommate assignment upon arrival on-site. Each 2-bed room has its own full bathroom and includes for each student an extra-long bed, desk, dresser, hutch and filing cabinet. Student have access to the building amenities including: various shared common rooms, a fitness center, game room, TV lounges, full kitchens, and laundry facility.

Seattle city hosts phenomenal outdoor beauty: trees, mountains, and water abound. Seattle’s mild, temperate, marine climate allows year-round outdoor recreation, including walking, cycling, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, rock climbing, motor boating, sailing, swimming, and more.

The city is home to industry titans such as Microsoft, Amazon, Costco, Tableau, and more, Seattle is identified as the “geekiest” city in the US, with nearly 20% of all residents employed in STEM fields.
