Bringing 100 Years of Experiential Learning to the Pacific Northwest
Co-op: An Education Like No Other
We Made Our Mark in Experiential Learning…
Experience is a powerful way to learn. Our signature experiential learning model combines academic scholarship and professional practice. Northeastern students receive more than an education—they gain relevant, real-world skills and experience.
Northeastern’s distinctive educational approach integrates rigorous classroom study with real-world experiences to create a powerful way to learn. As a result, our graduates excel at managing their lives and careers and contribute to the world.
Northeastern students access a network that includes more than 3,300 employers in 136 countries.
Experiential Learning Options
Employers rate Northeastern graduates higher than others in work ethic, willingness to learn, leadership, and more.
- Full-Time Co-Op Opportunities—Our co-op education program lets students alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of full-time employment in positions related to their major or career interests. Students pursue paid positions in their field of study for three to six months.
- Experiential Network (XN)—Students work virtually with a supervisor at a sponsoring business or nonprofit, completing a challenging assignment over a six-week period.
- Experiential Learning at Work—Working professionals collaborate with their employer to identify a project that addresses a key business need. They also gain invaluable experience in an area that interests them.
