Northeastern Seattle celebrates 2021 graduates!
Success is no accident.
It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice,
and most of all
Love for what you are doing.
Congratulations to all our 2021 graduates on your well-deserved success. Even though graduation ceremony was different this year, the achievement is still the same. We at Northeastern Seattle are so proud of you all and wish you good luck for your future.
To celebrate our 2021 graduates and their accomplishments, the Northeastern Seattle campus hosted PHOTO DAY on May 2. While some graduates traveled to attend commencement ceremonies in Boston at Fenway Park, the Seattle campus wanted to provide graduates an opportunity to celebrate locally. For those who missed it, you can watch the highlights of the Boston ceremony or read about it in detail here.
As the first graduation activity held on-campus since March 2020, Photo Day required excited participants to follow pandemic protocols, including registration, selecting time slots, and submission of a recent negative COVID test. While all attendees adhered to mandatory masking while on-campus, graduates could remove their masks for socially distanced photos.
Grads donned mortarboard caps and gowns for formal photos taken by professional photographers from Grad Images. Additionally, pop-up selfie photo stations encouraged grads to smile under a 2021 balloon arch, pose with Paws, and commemorate next to a stand-up of President Aoun! Campus staff and faculty joined in, ensuring every graduate documented their day fully. Finally, a video booth offered grads a chance to reflect and share stories from their time with Northeastern University.
After months of missing the chance to see each other in-person regularly during COVID, graduates cherished the chance to come together on-campus and celebrate their shared accomplishments with friends. As a perfect end to a difficult year, Photo Day let Northeastern in Seattle congratulate our graduates on their hard work and proudly send them off to the next phase of their journeys.
CONGRATULATIONS & BRAVO!
